TU Dresden and electric heating manufacturer determine heat flows
The electric heating manufacturer Lucht LHZ has had the heat output of an electric surface storage heater in a room investigated. As part of an exclusive test set-up in the indoor climate room at TU Dresden – the Combined Energy Lab 2.0 – the exact proportions of heat dissipation in the form of radiation and convection were investigated for this form of heating. The result: with electric surface storage heating, 41% of the heat in the room is emitted by radiation and 59% by convection.
